George Chann, born as Chen Yinpi in China in 1913, was one of the pioneers in modern Chinese art. After he moved to the USA, he produces mostly landscape, still life and portraits. In the second phase of his painting, he turned to Chinese folklore and culture and painted symbols and traditional artifacts.
