Kongo

A major figure in the international graffiti art scene, Cyril Phan aka Kongo returns to Paris after his 3-year exhibition marathon in Asia. Galerie Matignon has chosen to present a selection of his recent works, paintings on canvas, works on plexiglass, enamel plates of the Paris metro revisited by the artist and sculptures. The exhibition will run from March 20 to May 17.

Jean-François Perroy, better known under the pseudonym Jef Aerosol, is one of the pioneers of French street art. He started his stencil art in Tours, France in the early 80s. The artist has left its traces on the walls of many cities around the globe. Jef Aerosol is represented in several galleries around the world including La Galerie 38 in Morocco. The gallery will host Jef’s first exhibition in Morocco from March 20 until April 28, titled “Jef Aerosol share in Arrow”.  Jef Aérosol’s famous and somewhat mysterious red arrow appears on all his works and has become some sort of a trademark, or second signature.

Addicted to nomadic life, hooked on Penang and bound to the street, the young Lithuanian creative, Ernest Zacharevic is quite the character! Having made a successful show in Malaysia this January in his preferred town of the moment, Zacharevic is preparing his first ever exhibition in Europe. His inauguration into the western street art scene is to occur in the beautiful Barcelona, hosted by Montana Gallery. The show is titled Rock, Paper, Scissors! evoking the media of the display, but also the overwhelming infantile and charming spirit of Ernest Zacharevic’s body of work. Paper, Rock, Scissors! will open on March 21 at Montana Gallery, and it will remain on view through May 3, 2014.

From March 22nd to May 24th, JonOne will present his first solo show for his oil works at the Rabouan Moussion Gallery in Paris. It was in Paris, more than twenty years ago, where JonOne began his work as a painter on canvas. In the city of light he felt more free both technically and imaginatively to express his art and quickly made a name in artistic circles.

For all of those who find neon lights irresistible, and neon art the perfect conjunction of the concept and the material, a hip Brighton based gallery, ink-d is putting on a show dedicated almost exclusively to the medium. Signs of light will gather a spectacular selection of creatives who found their expression in bending the glowing tubes, presenting a neon light installation extravaganza.

Geoff McFetridge, the LA-based artist who works across a great variety of media including graphic design, illustration and animation, will be opening a new solo show at V1Gallery in Copenhagen on March 21. McFetridge won public acclaim when he was still a student of the Arts winning awards from the Art Directors Club and ID magazine for his thesis project “Chinatown”. For two years, he was art director of the famous underground Beastie Boys magazine Grand Royal.
