If you find yourself in Paris for the occasion of FIAC, make sure you don’t miss the extraordinary urban art exhibition hosted by Maison Guerlain! Fifteen of our most favorite artists will be exhibited in the first show of this kind at number 68 of the legendary Champs Elysées, putting on display a selection of artworks that have enhanced the cities and left a deep mark in the history of contemporary art. The event will mark ten years of a successful collaboration between the fair and the boutique, and once again reaffirm Guerlain’s dedication to the arts and their most renowned practitioners around the world.

A Ten Year Long History with FIAC

It was the year 2016 when la Foire Internationale d’Art Contemporain and la Maison Guerlain united their creative forces to establish a lasting relationship with arts and culture of the French capital and beyond. As one of the most important fairs in the country, FIAC was an obvious choice for the Guerlain family, which has a tradition of supporting painters dating back to the nineteenth century, such as Francisco Got and Claude Monet himself. In 2016, the two entities continue to foster the creation and the development of the international scene, this time focusing on urban art as one of the most significant movements of the last fifty years. At Maison Guerlain, on view there will be legends like Banksy, Blek le Rat, Futura, Gris1, JonOne, Keith Haring, Jef Aérosol, as well as the prominent names of the younger generation like Ludo, Meteor, Nasty, Seth, Space Invader, Swoon, Sifat, Zevs, L’Atlas and Collectif France Tricot.

Belle Ville – Beautiful City

What does a boutique dedicated to fragrances, make up and skincare have in common with the urban art movement, so much so to organize an entire show around it? They are both dedicated to the enhancement of ourselves and our environment, the everyday life, through an explosion of colors, materials and media. The elegance and the inventiveness matches the one of the greatest creative individuals of our time, which is why Maison Guerlain has been offering the walls of its iconic store to them for so long. The urban art exhibition and the work on display are made possible through collaborations with prestigious galleries and institutions and will focus on the beauty in art that echoes the beauty provided by Guerlain.
