Each first week of December Miami becomes the most favorite meeting place for the international artworld. This year it will again embrace the artworld with special exhibitions at galleries and museum across the city, transforming the Miami Art Week into a dense and vibrant cultural event. The combined efforts of approximately twenty art fairs, which will be held simultaneously with the renowned Art Basel Miami Beach art fair, will provide a unique and alternative opportunity for leading art dealers and artists to be promoted during the most important week for contemporary art in America. Today we present our list of ten Miami Art Week art fairs which will showcase some of the finest modern and contemporary art from world-class art museums, private collections and galleries from across the world.

Art Basel Miami Beach
Art Basel Miami Beach 2014 will be featuring an impressive list of over 250 leading international galleries from Africa, Europe, Asia, North and Latin America. The list includes such renowned contemporary art galleries like Gagosian, MOT, Galerie Perottin, SCAI The Bathhouse, White Cube and Stephen Friedman Gallery, which will be showcasing artworks form masters of modern and contemporary art, as well as from newly emerging artists. With artworks of the highest quality exhibited in the main exhibition hall, and ambitious installations and performances which become part of Miami’s landscape and its beaches and parks, Art Basel is strongly rooted in the principle that galleries play an essential role in the development and promotion of visual arts. Number of different show sectors will be offering a diverse collection of artworks, including paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, curated projects, site-specific experiential work, film and video, many of which will be offered for sale at reasonable prices.
Miami Project is an art fair focused on bringing the best in contemporary and modern art from some of the US top galleries and art dealers. Established in 2012 Miami Project instantly emerged as a platform for museum quality work presented by renowned art dealers who have been showing excellence in the art market for decades. Miami Project 2014 will take place from 2nd through 7th of December in the Miami Project Pavilion located in Wynwood District in Midtown Miami, and it will be showing mid-career and emerging artists, as well as exceptional pieces by modernist masters. List of galleries participating in this year’s third edition of Miami Project includes Ferrin Contemporary, Electric Works, Kopeikin Gallery, Morgan Lehman Gallery and Steven Wolf Fine Arts.
Design Miami/ is the premier art fair for collecting, exhibiting, discussing and creating collectible design, an exciting yet accessible destination for collectors and enthusiasts alike and the global forum for design. Each fair brings together the most influential collectors, gallerists, designers, curators and critics from around the world in celebration of design culture and commerce. Tenth edition of Design Miami/ will take place from 3rd through 7th of December in a new exhibition venue adjacent to the Miami Beach Convention Center, a short walk from Art Basel in Miami Beach. The world’s top galleries participating in this year’s Design Miami/ art fair will be presenting museum-quality exhibitions of exceptional design objects from the advent of Modernism to the present day, with select galleries specializing in outstanding 18th and 19th century antiques.
INK Miami is a rather unique contemporary art fair with focus on modern and contemporary works on paper. The fair is presented by the International Fine Print Dealers Association and exhibitors are selected from association’s acclaimed members. Established in 2006, INK Miami art fair is held annually in December during Art Basel Miami Beach art fair, and each year it attracts a loyal following of curators and art collectors. It offers a diverse survey of the twentieth century masterworks as well as freshly published editions created by internationally renowned contemporary artists. 2014 edition of INK Miami art fair will be held from 3rd through 7th of December in The Suites of Dorchester condo complex, just two blocks away from the Art Basel Miami Beach convention center.
UNTITLED. is a innovative art fair established in 2012 and passionately dedicated to presentation of international galleries and nonprofit art spaces focused on emerging and established contemporary artists. UNTITLED. 2014 art fair will be held in Miami Beach from December 3-7 in its temporary customized pavilion situated right on the beach at Ocean Drive. For its 2014 edition the fair has expanded its international curatorial team, and it will introduce a new perspective to the international focus and content development, presenting a variety of exhibitors, including Aperture Foundation, Art Nueve, LVL3, Maloney Fine Art, Parisian Laundry, Gallerie Thomas Fuchs and Y Gallery. Additionally, UNTITLED. will present a series of special events, performances and debates.
PULSE is a premiere contemporary art fair and one of the longest running Art Basel satellite fairs (established in 2005), strongly focused on discovery and acquisition of cutting-edge contemporary art and widely praised for its distinctive commitment to the art community and visitor experience. It provides a unique platform for diverse international galleries to present a progressive blend of acclaimed and pioneering contemporary artists and their artworks created in the past two years. PULSE Miami is divided into two sections and is comprised of a combination of established and emerging galleries, selected by the fair’s committee. In addition PULSE organizes variety of original cultural programs, featuring large-scale installations and performances. It will be held during December 4-7 at the Indian Beach Park in Miami Beach.
SELECT is a progressive, high-concept art fair curated by previous MoMA PS1 assistant curator Tim Goosens, specialized in highlighting emerging and mid-career artists presented by international galleries. One of the most popular Art Basel Miami Beach satellite fairs, SELECT will be held during December 2-7 at its new location in a grand-scale tent situated along the sands of beautiful North Beach, a short walk from the neighboring NADA art fair. The 40,000-square-foot space features beach front views and the Beach Bowl amphitheater for music and arts programming. The fair will exhibit the most visionary artists presented by more than fifty international galleries, including Vector Gallery, Seoul Contemporary, The Oil Factory, Gallery Sensei and Gazelli Art House.
NADA Art Fair is strongly dedicated to the celebration of the new and innovative international contemporary art talents and it is the only American art fair ran by a nonprofit organization (New Art Dealers Alliance collective of contemporary art dealers, established in 2002). The fair is widely recognized as the preeminent alternative assembly of the youngest and strongest international art galleries dealing with emerging contemporary art. The list featuring over ninety international exhibitors for the 12th edition of NADA includes Future Gallery, Galerie Christian Lethert, Galerie Max Mayer, White Columns, American Contemporary, The Apartment and Shane Campbell Gallery. NADA Art Fair will take place from December 4-7 in the luxurious Napoleon and Richelieu Ballrooms of the Deauville Beach Resort, a full-service beachside resort in Miami Beach.
SCOPE is one of the largest and most global art fairs in the world, with more than a decade long history and over 65 art fairs held in Miami Beach, Basel, New York and London, over million visitors and more than $800 million in sales. SCOPE’s Miami Beach edition art fair is a premier showcase for international emerging contemporary art and multi-disciplinary creative programming which takes place during the Miami Art Week. It will be held from December 2-7 in the monumental pavilion situated on historic Ocean Drive. It will present over hundred exhibitors, twenty selected Breeder Program galleries, and exhibitions curated by Red Bull Curates and Juxtapoz Magazine. Featured Heineken House will present twelve meters tall Live Art Pyramid featuring twelve massive live art walls which will be hand-painted during the fair. Additionally, SCOPE Miami Beach art fair will feature a curated exhibition of artworks from South Korea.
