October 2, 2015

The fall season has finally begun! September was truly exciting month (although we believe October will be even more exciting). The season of art fairs started, the season of auctions began, art festivals – the whole machinery of contemporary art scene is fully active after the summer break. But, let us not forget – so many amazing exhibition openings we saw in September. Some of the shows were organized by big and globally famous galleries and museums, some of them by smaller, yet extraordinary galleries. From San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami and New York City to Berlin, Paris, Cologne, London, Tokyo, Melbourne, Bangkok – amazing shows are on view.

Many of our readers have come on our website to check out what art events are being organized in all those great galleries whose work we are covering. As usual, in the end of every month, we present ten galleries that were most visited at WideWalls. So, let’s take a look – what galleries were most visited at WideWalls in September.

Urban Spree Berlin – Exploring Different Urban Cultures

Urban Spree is one of Berlin’s most vibrant art spaces. There is always something interesting going on in this great gallery. Set in a vast postindustrial compound in the heart of Berlin, the gallery promotes a grassroots artistic approach, working closely with street & graffiti artists, urban photographers and contemporary artists. At this moment, the gallery hosts solo exhibition of Hendrik Czakainski entitled Urban Investigations (open until October 18, 2015). Back in June, we had a honor to speak with Pascal Feucher from Urban Spree, about amazing Berlin contemporary art scene. Be sure to check out this interview.
