The Supporting Program

For its 14th edition, Art KARLSRUHE has prepared an exciting and well-curated program. There will be a special exhibition dedicated to Tomi Ungerer featuring drawings, collages and object art from the Würth Collection. Original artworks that comprise a cross-section of the contents of Ungerer’s multifaceted oeuvre will be presented in Hall 1. Another show presented in the Hall 1, a special collaboration entitled Retour de Paris will offer visible proof of Europe’s thriving culture by presenting a selection of works by former grant recipients. There will also be a special show dedicated to graphic prints that will present curated contributions from the exhibitors’ program. The show will be presented on 200 square meters in the surroundings of photography and original editions in Hall 1.

A tradition at Art KARLSRUHE, the program will be accompanied by a two-day symposium dedicated to issues facing the art business that will be open to the public. The focus of ARTIMA 2017 will be art per se and especially the art of the future. Discussions titled Painting in Political Times and Design in Digital Times will each feature three prominent personalities chosen from among artists and museum directors.
