The 22nd edition of
concluded on November 8th, 2015 after three days of successful showcase of international contemporary art. Set in a pavilion built for the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, the Italian fair once again proved its firm status as one of Europe’s most influential art trading events today. The next year’s edition has already been announced, although we’re still under the impression of the 2015 one. In this article, we bring you one last visual summary of Artissima 2015. Artissima 2015 was held from November 6th to 8th at the Oval in Turin, Italy Artissima attracted more than 52,000 visitors this year A total of 207 galleries participated at the 2015 edition In Turin, there were 66 Italian participants and 141 foreign spaces The Artissima 2015 program was divided into two gallery sections The Main section featured 131 renowned international galleries New Entries section featured first time participants as aspiring art spaces Present Future promoted up and coming talents from 20 galleries Back to the Future section featured artworks created between 1975 and 1985 The Artissima program involved activities like Walkie Talkies, fair guides led by noted curators More than 50 curators and museum directors participated in Artissima program A total of six prizes were awarded to artists Also at the fair, , where the most important art institutions of Piedmont presented their collections the In Mostra project In Mostra was curated by Stefano Collicelli Cagol, a young curator Artissima is the only art fair with a section dedicated to performance art, called Per4M At Widewalls, we provided extensive coverage live from the spot, on a dedicated page which was updated hourly Our editors have had a total of 16 podcast conversations with gallerists in all sectors Rodolphe Janssen Rodel Tapaya at Arndt.
