Adam Labuen is a San Francisco Bay Area based Science Illustrator who works in traditional and digital media.
Born in 1974 and raised in Palm Springs, CA, Adam was surrounded by the Coachella Valley’s rich wildlife. Hiking through the arid deserts and lush canyons, he took an appreciation to nature at an early age. Throughout the years this admiration has led him to the path of a Science Illustrator.
He graduated from San Francisco State University- B.A. Studio Arts and this year he received a Graduate Certificate in Science Illustration from California State University of Monterey Bay.
Some of his clients include: Epic Charter School, Oakland, CA; National Tropical Botanical Garden, Kauai, HI; Division of Forestry and Wildlife, Maui, HI.
Adam Labuen currently lives and works for the Research Institute for Humanity and Nature in Kyoto, JP.
