Aya received her MA in English Language and Literature in 2012. She likes dancing, traveling, cycling and spending time with her pets.

Atsuko Tanaka was born in Osaka in 1932, and died of pneumonia in 2005. She was a pioneering Japanese avant-garde artist.

Tanaka’s works, paintings, sculptures, performances and installations, are abstract pieces that rejected conventional ideas of how artworks should appear or “perform.” 

Her work is featured in various internationally important public collections, including that of New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MOMA).
