Bozena Bosko is a Slovakian artist born in 1957, known for her figurative paintings executed in a bright palette of colors. However, in recent years, she started painting in a more monochromatic palette. The spontaneity of gestures, poses and expressions of depicted subjects plays the primary role in her portraits.
Bozena Rončáková, born Bošková, grew up in Turzovka, on the north-west of Slovakia. She got her education at the School of Applied Arts in Uherske Hradiste in the Czech Republic, Department of Applied painting in architecture and art history, and later at the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. In 1993, Bozena attended a summer art academy in Irsee, Germany.
Since her first exhibition in 1992, Bozena Bosko has been featured in many collective and solo exhibitions in Slovakia, Germany, and the Czech Republic. In addition, she was one of the participants of the 2009 Viennafair.
Bozena Bosko is represented by Galerie Fluegel-Roncak, located in Nürnberg, Germany.
