Christina Paetsch is a visual artist working mainly in the genres of photography, video and installation. Beauty and disgust are the main subjects lingering in the focus of her interest. Her photographs are staged, mostly in her studio.
Her purposefully staged still lifes show transience and question consumer behavior and ideals of beauty. Paetsch not only puts our viewing habits to the test, but also deals with climate change, overproduction and globalization on a social level.
