Fergal Stapleton is a British contemporary artist who, according to some critics produces a rare insight into the difference between images and objects, and how mere junk changes into art… They’re inches away, but seem to inhabit a distant, unattainable parallel universe. Stapleton has been an occasional lecturer on the MA Fine Art programs at Goldsmiths College, University of London, Birmingham Institute of Art & Design, Birmingham City University, and the Slade School of Fine Art. He has also contributed to the art review section of TimeOut magazine. Stapleton is additionally a director of V22 Foundation.
