Helen Holmes is an Australian artist whose paintings are intense acrylics and charcoal on board or canvas. She is a vehicle spray painter by trade with an industrial background. Numerous hours that she spent mixing paints and colour, enhanced her innate love of art. Her bold and delightful expressive works are filled with lots of energy, vitality and dynamic movement.
Helen Holmes is represented by 19 Karen Contemporary Artspace. In May 2015, she participated in expressionism group show entitled Red at Sofitel Gold Coast. The show was co-curated by Richard Denny and Terri Lew. In August the same year, her work was included in international group exhibition Pain-Ting, organized by 19 Karen Contemporary Artspace and hosted by Open Walls Gallery in Berlin, Germany. Holmes’ debut solo exhibition Keeping Good Company with 19 Karen gallery was on display in March 2015.
