Herman Leonard, born in Pennsylvania in 1923, was an American photographer, known for his unique images of jazz icons and jazz culture in general. His extensive body of work includes pictures of celebrities, such as Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando and Paul Newman. Albert Einstein was also the subject of Leonard’s photographs. Leonard died in Los Angeles in 2010.
