Lucas Samaras is a Greek-American multidisciplinary artist, best-known for his explorations and distortions of a self-image through Polaroids and boxed environments.

As a painter, sculptor, and photographer, he is associated with the Fluxus movement.

Lucas Samaras was born in 1936 in Kastoria, Macedonia, Greece. He currently lives in New York City.
