Born in Vienna, Austria in 1992, Martin Tardy has been immersed in drawing from a young age. In his works, he focuses on working with continuous lines, creating ambidextrous asynchronous works without lifting the pen.
Tardy often draws with both hands at the same time, making his working process a performance of sorts. The subjects of his works are faces, bodies or body parts, a subject that has fascinated him ever since he was a kid. The continuous line in his works symbolizes life, with its twists and curves acting as a metaphor for different decisions and paths we take that build one’s character and personality.
Tardy first shared his work with the public in a solo show at SNEAKIN concept store in 2017. Since then, he has had two more solo shows and exhibited in a range of international art fairs.
