Peter Lanyon was a Cornish painter, one of the most important figure in the art in post-war Britain. Despite his early death at the age of 46, he achieved an original and representative body of work. In the distinctive mixture of abstract values and innovative ideas about landscape and figure, Lanyon’s style ranged from Constructivism through Abstract Expressionism to Pop art.
