Rasmus Mogensen is a Danish photographer, primarily known for his beauty and fashion photography. Mogensen was born in 1974 in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is a grandson of Danish architect and furniture designer Børge Mogensen.
Mogensen wanted to become a photographer from age 8 and began his career working as a photo assistant in Copenhagen and New York. He had his first independent photo exhibition at age 17 at Gallery Photografica in Copenhagen. His fine art photography is now exclusively represented worldwide by the renowned Fahey/Klein Gallery.
Rasmus Mogensen has worked with German, Australian and Russian Vogue, Citizen K, Allegra, French Elle, Jalouse, L’Officiel, Dansk, Vs Magazine, Zink, French Marie Claire, The Sunday Times Magazine, ES Magazine, Wallpaper, Tatler, Australian Har- per’s Bazaar etc.
When talking about his own work Mogensen says :”Photography is for me a search for harmonious shape and composition. What keeps me going is the fact that a creative career is a never-ending evolution in the search for a perfection that does not exist. I love the fact that there is always something you can become better at in the process.”
He has shot numerous worldwide advertising campaigns for clients such as Wolford, Diesel, Shiseido, Lancel, Elizabeth Arden, L’Oréal, Kérastase, Hanro, Parfums Rochas, De Grisgono, InWear, Pieces, Sand, Vero Moda, Escada and Swarovski.
Mogensen is currently based in Paris, and now partly New York.
