Thaddeus van Eijsden started painting at a young age and, after the Second World War, became part of the New Hague School. In 1959 he received the Jacob Hartog Prize and awarded the Jacob Marisp Prize in 1960, both prizes from Pulchri Studio in The Hague, where Van Eijsden had regular exhibitions as a working member. Van Eijsden’s work differs from realistic art to more abstract works.
