Tina Barney, born in 1945 in New York City, is an American artist photographer, best known for her large-scale, color portraits of her family and close friends. The images straddle the line between candid and tableau photography. Barney has been the recipient of a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship in 1991, and the 2010 Lucie Award for Achievement in Portraiture.
