Anne Katrine Senstad is a Norwegian artist whose practice lies in the multidisciplinary intersections of installation art, photography, video, neon sculpture, immersive installation, land, and site-specific art. She focuses on the phenomena of perception and the cognitive system in response to the properties of light, sound, and color and her hybridized critical and poetic text-based works on dialectics, literature, language, and philosophy through the use of signage and commercial materials and commodities. Raised between Singapore and Norway, the artist currently lives and works between New York and Oslo. Having studied video art at the University of California at Berkeley and earned her BFA Honors in Photography from the Parsons School of Design, Anne Katrine Senstad went on to study film at the New School for Social Research in New York.
