Charles Jones was an English photographer born in 1866, known for his still lifes of fruit and vegetables which illustrate his subtle yet deeply felt sensibility for nature. A skilled printer, Jones' photographs show a clear and natural command for composition and tone.

Charles Jones's work was never exhibited in his lifetime, and was largely unknown, until it was discovered by accident in a suitcase in 1981 at Bermondsey antiques market.
