Chris Green is a British contemporary sculptor who mainly works in stone and stainless steel. Born in London, he lived in England until 2007, when he moved to New York. His ideas come from a variety of sources but mostly the everyday environment, be it nature, man-made objects or structures, and he often uses people interacting with these forces. With stainless steel, he tries to convey simple lines and planes, whereas when working with stone his aim is to produce bolder, curved forms that have interesting negative space. His work has been exhibited throughout the UK and the USA. Chris Green has a studio in Katonah, New York.
