Jasmine Mansbridge is an Australian artist who has taken her art to a number of mediums – sculpture, large-scale public works, and intimate paintings. Her process of painting, both the ritual sense and the physical act, is of crucial importance to the finished pieces. They are created as an antidote to today’s busy, technological, and image-rich daily lives, where geometric and architectural forms are used as metaphors to tell stories of both personal and shared human experiences. There is ever-present symbolism in her works, causing the viewers to simultaneously look inward at themselves and also outward to the world and where they place themselves in it. Jasmine Mansbridge has had nine solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows. She has also completed commissioned wall art in Melbourne, Sydney, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
