Jean Dewasne was a French
painter, sculptor, and lithographer, widely regarded as one of the masters of
constructive abstraction. He went through very thorough classical and musical
studies, enrolled at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where he attended
architectural workshops for two years before turning to painting.
