Jerry McLaughlin was an American
artist whose paintings have dark backgrounds, with a surreal and alien atmosphere.
He was inspired by science and aliens, things in the other part of the
Universe. Although he considered himself a commercial failure, his paintings
are included in several prestigious collections, such as the Art Institute of
Chicago, the Philadelphia Museum and the Whitney.
