John Yuyi is a Taiwanese visual
artist whose practice explores various aspects of social media, photography,
and post-internet. Strongly influenced by her interest and experience in
modeling, photography, and fashion design, Yuyi's work is placed at the
intersection of youth culture, fame, and biting social commentary. She studied
fashion design at Shih Chien University, after which she launched her swimwear
collection and interned with internationally renowned artist and designer Jason
Wu. Since 2014, Yuyi has been utilizing the human body as a canvas, making her
statements using "temporary tattoo" as her primary art form.
