Laurent de Brunhoff is a French contemporary illustrator and author, best known for his work on the series of children books titled Babar the Elephant. The series began as a bedtime story that Cécile de Brunhoff told her young sons, Laurent and Mathieu, later illustrated and turned into a book by Jean de Brunhoff, their father.
