Maximilian Siegenbruk is a German contemporary artist widely known for his figurative and portraiture painting, as well as works on paper. While they focus heavily on the naturalistic depictions of the human body, with emphasis on volume and games of light and shade, these works also combine elements found in popular culture and the constructed society we're living in. However, with his most recent works, Siegenbruk shifts his focus towards abstraction, depicting nature and structures with an emphasis on lines and contour. He studied at CATS College Cambridge, UK, and the Düsseldorf Art Academy, continuing his studies under Professor Siegfried Anzinger. Maximilian Siegenbruk lives and works in Düsseldorf.
