Nairy Baghramian

August 26, 2013

Nairy Baghramian is Iranian-born, Berlin-based sculptor whose formal abstract work draws on the legacy of post-minimal art to investigate the conventions and expectations that commonly surround public sculpture.

Nairy Baghramian was born in 1971 in Isfahan, Iran. In her work, she explores inherited sculptural tropes arising from art history, dismantling and re-combining forms and concepts with principles of interior design and physiology.
