Self-taught, Nanan is a versatile French sculptor who combines creation with recycling, generating a host of characters with an irresistible personality. Inspired by Japanese and urban culture, and consumer society, his work represents an ode to Pop Culture, which recycles obsolete objects of everyday life, illuminating it in a different way. Nanan is based in Lille, where he has been developing his series of works since 2010. These light sculptures place the artist at the crossroads of design and toy art. He uses headlights of cars and mopeds, giving them a second life by combining them with a body made of resin.
