Norman Seeff is a South African
photographer and filmmaker widely known and recognized for his images of
musicians, actors, and other celebrities. These photographs were often regarded
as the defining images of artists at the height of their careers. The secret
behind Seeff’s success lies in his approach – the concept revolves around
speaking with his subjects, communicating with them. This approach includes
making videos during photography sessions – a feature that distinguishes his
work. A sense of high authenticity and strong emotions emanate from his
photographs.
