Péter Újházi is a Hungarian contemporary painter whose preferred motifs are labyrinths, wells, caves, towers, islands, springs. These works, where the artist conjoins figurative depiction with abstraction, are populated with characters such as clowns, dwarfs, golems, winged figures, and insects.
