Figuration narrative

November 10, 2020

Known for his career in motoring art, Roy Putt is a British painter whose works celebrate a bygone era of grace, sophistication, and elegance, each possessing its own narrative and easily identifiable style. Born into an army family, he grew up in various army encampments around England. After studying drawing and graphic design at Bournemouth College of Art, Putt worked in an advertising agency for a time and then as a freelance. He was also a bassist in a rock band, deciding to become a professional musician after the band secured a recording contract. However, after years of touring, he decided to switch careers once again, this time concentrating on building a career in motoring art, which earned him international acclaim and the opportunity to exhibit his works regularly at prestigious events across Europe.
