Born in Martinique, Sébastien
Mehal is a French contemporary artist who explores sociological and
philosophical issues through his minimalistic approach. Personally touched by
the development of the city, the peculiarities and other quirks of urban life,
the artist gets all of his inspiration from it. The light bulb is the major
figure in Mehal’s work, symbolizing the impact of our society on inhabited
areas. He graduated from the École supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle
(ESRA Paris XV) in Paris (2000) and the Paris School of Architecture (1996).
