Siri Hollander is an American contemporary artist, best known for her sculptures of horses, but also bulls, deer, birds, and a collection of other smaller animals. She also has a small collection of abstract humanoid figures that are incredibly emotional. Born in New York, her family quickly relocated to the south of Spain where they remained for most of her childhood. Hollander’s earliest memories consist of riding massive Andalusian mares across the rolling hills of Andalusia, where these magnificent beasts and the land itself became both her teachers and her inspiration. Her sculptural medium combines steel and cement, creating her trademarked texture, which when cast in bronze bring her sculptures to life. The size ranges from tabletop works to monumental pieces. Siri Hollander lives and works in New Mexico.
