Fred Hughes is the founder of the Andy Warhol Foundation, which he ran until 1990. Hughes was the publisher of Interview magazine and Andy Warhol's business manager for more than 25 years, during which time he ran Warhol's famous Factory. He first met Warhol in 1967 at a benefit for Merce Cunningham held at the Glass House designed by Philip Johnson.
