Anne Youkeles was born in Austria in 1920. She studied at the Kunstgewerbe Schule, Vienna and, after emigrating to the United States, at Ohio State University. Her work in the 1950s and early-1960s was principally figurative, but in the late-1960s she turned to abstraction. and in particular the creation of three-dimensional works using paper and canvas. This large 3-D collage is nicely framed as shown and is hand-signed, titled, and numbered by the artist.
