His work focuses on the design of systems and the creation of tools and processes for producing objects.
Anton Alvarez invented his own machine, an extruder that emits an entire clay sculpture in one go. However, the process is not fully automated and requires the intervention of an operator responsible for regulating pressure, speed, size, impact, intention and judging the aesthetics. The titles of his artworks correspond to the date and time when they were made.
Similar to Andre Breton, through this project, Anton Alvarez tries to produce art automatically and without preconception, to create what he calls 'unformulated objects'.
