German photographer Bernhard Lang, engaged in the issues concerning environment as well as the impact man has on it and on the landscape, chooses for this series a topical theme: renewable energy. The artist is interested in both the visual impact of the solar power plants he photographs and their purpose. On the one hand, he sees this technology as an important effort to prevent global warming and climate change, and on the other hand he wishes to show the strong contrast between the technical design of the solar power plants and the desert landscape that surrounds them. The images convey indeed quite a futuristic and alien atmosphere, almost as if they were coming from a science fiction movie. 150 × 120 - €2,800; 120 × 96 - €1,750;
