This is one of the largest bank notes ever issued by the U.S. Treasury. Relative to all other paper bills, this was used predominantly as settlement between large, mostly inter-bank accounts. Printing ceased in July of 1969, though purportedly several are still in circulation, likely coveted in secure collections and worth 'tons of money.
