Inspired by fictional cartoon characters, hugely popular during the twentieth century, Arsham often references a range of figures in his work These fictional characters are molded from a range of ephemera including plastic figurines, fabric patches, and games, to name a few. The new works are then cast in Arsham's unique methods of crystallization and erosion, incorporating either geological; material or intensely detailed bronze and patina.
