Paper Size: 44,4 x 33,5 cm / 17.5 x 13.2 in. Large folio (47.2 x 36.5 cm); Paris: L'Etoile Filante, 1966. Rouault executed the 14 plates in 1926. Jacquemin printed 500 impressions of each in 1927 for Ambroise Vollard, who kept them until his premature death. In 1966 the book was finally published (using the original 1927 impressions, of course). Since many of the impressions had suffered some sort of damage, only 425 copies could be issued.
