Grayson Perry CBE RA (b. 1960) is an English contemporary artist best known for his his ceramic vases, tapestries and cross-dressing, as well as his observations of the contemporary arts scene, and for dissecting British 'prejudices, fashions and foibles'.

Gay Black Cats was published by the Serpentine Gallery on the occasion of his solo exhibition with the gallery in the Summer of 2017. It is sold as issued having never been displayed, on consignment from a client of Lougher Contemporary. This is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
