This abstract piece is typical of the artist's creative work over the past decade. The delicate oil work, applied in thin transparent layers, is all done from memory and his imagination in order to offer a personal reinterpretation of abstract painting. The title also points to the affirmation of this ambivalence: inviting the spectator to guess at the Canadian Athabasca river, whilst also being a picture with unrealistic colors and shapes proving the artist's great imagination to be the main subject represented.
