FROM THE ARTIST'S STUDIO
Rebecca Kerlin, director of Gallery Joe, Philadelphia, says about Peerna's work: Jaanika’s drawings elegantly interact with architecture in a way that allows the viewer to feel their presence physically as well as visually. They are both vulnerable and powerful. Her choice and mastery of her materials gives her the freedom necessary to maximize her vision.

ABSTRACT DRAWING
The below information will only be used to help you communicate with the gallery. The more information you provide, the faster and more likely you will get an answer.
This is the only Peerna's work available on IdeelArt that is double-sided, drawn on both sides of the plastic paper by attaching the material to the wall with the artist holding a bunch of colored and graphite pencils tightly in both hands as the artist simulates a free fall downward through space. The image relates to the frozen waterfalls, with the two-sided image creating a complex resonance with the uneven visage of rushing falls through the ice, revealing the natural inexact rhythm of water in winter. This work was shown as part of a large installation at the Kentler International Drawing Space in Red Hook, Brooklyn and is part of the series called Falls of Solitude.
