This series is based on Gustave Flaubert's short story 'Bibliomania' (1954), in which the protagonist, Giacomo, is a crazy librarian who even reaches the point of killing to get a precious book. As in other similar approaches to other texts and writers, the idea is to 'dissect' or deconstruct the original text, and use the raw matter to build a new visual composition. The original text is divided into 14 segments (aesthetic reason), and each new section will be a different painting. The disposition of every single letter and punctuation character are arranged to transform concrete poetry into visual poetry. Bibliomanía Flaubert
