Keith Haring (1958-1990) was a key player in the Pop Art Movement who gained international recognition between 1980 and 1989. Using simple and rhythmic lines, Haring created work that carried significant social messages. In April 1986, Haring opened the Pop Shop, a retail store in New York selling T-shirts, toys, posters, buttons and magnets bearing his images. He created the 'Pop Shop' series of prints for sale in his store as well.
This print is from Pop Shop VI, stamped, signed and numbered by Julia Gruen (Executor for the Keith Haring Estate) on the back of the print. This is a fine example of Keith Haring's work, and a reasonable affordable entry point to Keith Haring's prints.
