In Mel Ramos' "The Campbell Soup Blondes" three nude woman, inspired by actresses Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, and Michelle Pfeiffer, pose alongside Campbell's Soup Cans, made famous in the Pop artwork of Andy Warhol. In a 2010 interview with the publisher Hatje Cantz, Ramos noted that his interest in the female form derived from the depiction of nudes throughout art history. To that he added, "I love women; I'm a healthy, male American. And women are objects of desire for me."
