The lithograph represents one of the Bury's famous 'cinetisations'. Cinetisations are bizarre images of contorted and shattered buildings produced by the French kinetic sculptor Pol Bury in 1966 by the simple device of cutting or stamping out a series of concentric circles at key points in photographs, engravings, or reproductions of architectural subjects.
